The Northern Meeting Charity has agreed to pay £2,000 towards the cost of an improved heating system in Laing Hall which the Arts Society uses for its regular meetings.

Artists of all levels meet in the hall throughout the week. Doors are open for anyone who enjoys painting, drawing, card making or just knitting. About 20 people attend each session, of all ages, and the Hall is open for about 32 hours per week.
