The Northern Meeting Charity is helping the band gain some professional music tuition and pay for 15 new music stands, 5 new small-size acoustic guitars and other instrument repairs.

The band plays traditional Scottish music and has about 25 members from P3 to P7 learning  fiddle, tin whistle, guitar and piano.  The band plays at school events and in the community at events such as the Fisherfolk Folk Festival, the Picts in the Park and  the Tain Gala. The band has played at music festivals in Lairg and Inverness and held their own very successful fundraising Christmas Ceilidh.
