The Northern Meeting Charity helps the dedicated project worker support a group of deprived families in Hilton.

This is an area of Inverness with over 8000 people, that is in the top 15% of deprived areas in Scotland. The project worker provides a nutritious breakfast for three days a week for 30-40 parents and children in a local church. Speakers are also invited and outings to places of interest such as pet farms are arranged. 

In addition the trustees are hoping to employ a further  project worker to concentrate on families with 0-3 year olds as the demand for their services, especially in the current financial situation, is always increasing. Any grant from the Northern Meeting Charity will be put towards running costs eg providing breakfasts for families, outings, rental of meeting place etc.
